Dana,

I'm a floundering 37 yr old ameteur cyclist (raced mountain bikes for 10 yrs). I tore my left ACL while skiing in Jackson Hole in February of 2006 and have had ACL replacement surgery and 4 subsequent surgeries since, to no avail. My knee is in constant pain, which makes riding very difficult. I've about given up because it seems like the main stream medical community is more interested in processing as many patients as possible rather than focusing on the individual. I want to believe that I can return to my pre-injury condition, or even 85% would be phenomonal, but I don't really know which way to go from here. Any advice?
